Rhodes Ranch Fun Zone Water Park commissions safety video for opening
The Fun Zone Water Park at Rhodes Ranch is expected to open over Memorial Day weekend. In anticipation of the event, the homeowners association created a safety video.
"We knew we needed an innovative way to get the rules of the aquatics park across to the homeowners, so we created a safety video for everyone to watch," said Virginia Kaplan, program manager at The R-Club recreation center at Rhodes Ranch.
According to Kaplan, the video covers both the common sense rules associated with water parks and some rules set forth by the homeowners association. Everyone using the facility will be required to watch the video and sign an agreement stating they understand the rules and will obey them.
The seven-minute video is showing continuously on the big screen television in the great room at The R-Club Recreation Center.
"Many homeowners from Rhodes Ranch were utilized as the talent in the safety video. We thought it would be a better way to communicate our message ...," Kaplan said.
The Fun Zone features a 13,000-square-foot lagoon pool with wading areas, a 10,000-square-foot water park with three speed slides, five kid slides, rope bridges, multiple squirt gun stations and a 1,000 gallon bucket that fills and tips over every half hour.
