Richmond American builds Ladera Canyon homes in Summerlin

Located along the southwestern edge of Summerlin, Ladera Canyon features floor plans from Richmond American's Mesa and Italian Renaissance Collections.

The Mesa Collection offers kitchens with breakfast nooks and open great rooms.

The Italian Renaissance Collection homes are highlighted by classic features such as formal living and dining rooms, volume ceilings and loggias.

"Ladera Canyon offers the complete lifestyle," sales agent Kimberly Wright said. "We have a great location close to the area's most beautiful natural landmarks, with Red Rock Canyon nearby and exceptional amenities all around. The community has four parks and a swimming pool, plus there's a 19-acre park coming soon right outside the neighborhood. Aside from the location, the homes at Ladera Canyon are beautiful. They offer spectacular features like downstairs master suites, three-car garages, and open floor plans designed to fit today's lifestyles. I think one of the reasons this community is so popular is because there's something for everyone."

Priced from the $440,000s to the $540,000s, the Mesa Collection homes range from 1,950 to 2,800 square feet with three to four bedrooms and 21/2 to 31/2 baths. Room options allow some plans to feature up to six bedrooms. Both single- and two-story designs are available.

The Winslow is a 2,800-square-foot, two-story home with four bedrooms, three baths and a study, with a fifth bedroom available in lieu of the study. The main floor houses the kitchen with a nook, family room and dining room. An optional fireplace is available at the center of the living space.

There is also a courtyard entry and split three-car garage.

The two-story Scottsdale features three bedrooms and 31/2 bathrooms in 2,400 square feet. This home offers a circular entry opening into a formal dining room and a hall leading to the great room, dining nook and kitchen.

The second floor features a loft and two secondary bedrooms separated by a tech center. Available room options include a fourth bedroom in lieu of the loft; a fifth bedroom in lieu of the study; and a casita in lieu of the third-car garage.

Other two-story plans in the Mesa Collection include the Sedona, Mesa and Prescott, all with three bedrooms and 21/2 baths.

The 2,250-square-foot Sedona offers an array of room options including a fourth bedroom in lieu of the main-floor study; a master retreat in lieu of one of the secondary bedrooms; and a bonus room or fifth bedroom.

The 2,100-square-foot Prescott offers an optional loggia and an optional bonus room with a mirador. Other highlights include a main-level master suite, a study or optional fourth bedroom, and volume ceilings in the great room and entry.

A courtyard is at the entry of the Mesa, offering 2,000 square feet. The first level features a great room, dining area and kitchen, with a den or fourth bedroom at the front of the home. A bonus room or fifth bedroom with a mirador can be added at the top of the stairs.

The single-story Glendale. features a kitchen island that overlooks the great room and dining area. The master bedroom is separate from the two secondary rooms, with an optional fourth bedroom at the study.

Priced from the $380,000s to the $410,000s, the Italian Renaissance Collection offers two-story homes. They offer three to five bedrooms, 21/2 to three baths and measure 1,750 to 2,400 square feet.

The Rome features volume ceilings, kitchen with nook, a theater and a bedroom with a full bath. Room options include fifth and sixth bedrooms, an exercise room, loft, den, three-car garage, mirador and loggia. Two elevations include the loggia as standard.

The 1,950-square-foot Venice showcases a kitchen, with a nook, center island and pantry. A fifth bedroom is available in lieu of the tandem garage. Other room options include a loft, master retreat and mirador.

A covered loggia is a highlight of the Florence. The master bedroom offers a private bath, walk-in closet and an optional mirador. Other room options include a fourth bedroom in lieu of the dining room and a loft in lieu of one of the bedrooms.

Seven model homes are open for touring at Ladera Canyon. To visit, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, to Tropicana Avenue and go west. Turn south on Town Center Drive and east on Alta Ladera Street.
