Royal Highlands to hold jazz event

American West will unveil new home options and host a free jazz event and fashion show at Inverness at Royal Highlands from 5 to 8 p.m. today. The guard-gated community featuring mansions with finished basements is located in Southern Highlands adjacent to Southern Highlands Golf Club in the southwestern valley.

The free event will include live jazz by the Tommy Thompson Project, a Neiman Marcus fashion show and refreshing summertime food and beverages. Home buyers can take twilight home tours and register for chances to win Neiman Marcus gift cards.

"We call these our 'mansion homes' for good reason," said general sales manager Shawn Grundy. "Private entry courts, elegant driveway pavers, stunning exteriors, grand entrances and finished basements are among the features that define Inverness."

Homes buyers can tour five model homes and select from six one- and two-story floor plans. Home designs range from 3,679 to 5,649 square feet with up to six bedrooms and four baths, starting from $830,950. Every floor plan includes a three-car garage and a finished basement with a step-out terrace.

"Whether home buyers have visions of a home theater, billiards room or lounge with a wine room, they'll get great ideas for furniture placement and decor when they tour the models," Grundy said.

To attend the event, take Interstate 15 south and exit Blue Diamond Road west. Proceed on Blue Diamond, turn south on Decatur Boulevard, which becomes Southern Highlands Parkway. Continue on Southern Highlands Parkway and turn left to the guard gate on Royal Highlands Street.
