R/S Development grows in Summerlin

R/S Development is building nearly 100 homes in its new Kingwood Crown Series neighborhood in The Vistas village.

The builder opened its first neighborhood in 1991 in Summerlin's first village, The Hills. Since then, R/S has completed more than 400 homes in seven neighborhoods throughout Summerlin. Located in The Vistas village, Kingwood Crown Series offers home buyers four floor plans from 2,426 to 3,158 square feet.

Prices begin in the low $400,000s. Floor plans offer three to five bedrooms and a minimum of three baths.

According to Randy Schaefer, president of R/S Development, the company has generous custom options for home buyers.

"We've created a 'custom touch' policy that allows home buyers to customize their homes," he said. "We believe in delivering a personalized home that accommodates the individual lifestyles of our home buyers."

With energy efficiency in mind, Kingwood Crown Series homes are part of the Southern Nevada Home Builder Association's Green Building Partnership. Schaefer said homes in this program are constructed with enhanced efficiency features designed to deliver a minimum of 30 percent greater energy efficiency than most standard new homes. According to Schaefer, Summerlin is one of R/S Development's preferred communities.

Community amenities within walking distance from Kingwood Crown Series include five parks of varying sizes, including the more than 20-acre Vistas Community Park; schools, retail centers and Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa.
