Rudy Giuliani to rally Republicans in Vegas for Mitt Romney on Friday

Rudy Giuliani is coming to Las Vegas on Friday to rally supporters for GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

The former New York mayor is no stranger to the campaign trail in Nevada.

Giuliani ran for president four years ago -- and even picked up one Republican delegate in Nevada -- before dropping out of the race.

On Friday, Giuliani will visit the "Team Nevada" office where the Republican National Committee and the Romney campaign are working together.

Acting as a campaign surrogate, Guiliani is expected to talk up Romney's business credentials and take a swipe or two at President Barack Obama's efforts to revive the economy. Nevada remains the hardest hit state in the nation with unemployment at 11.6 percent, which is several points higher than the national average.

Limited tickets are being distributed to Team Nevada volunteers and Republican supporters for the small event at the office, which can hold up to 100 people.

Doors open at 8 a.m. and the event  is set to wrap up by 9:30 a.m.

"It’s an exciting time for Republicans in Nevada, and we need your support to make sure we turn Nevada red this November," said an email to supporters about the event.

Obama has visited the Silver State several times already this election year, while Romney, too, has made a couple of stops in the battleground state.

Last week, Michelle Obama headlined a rally for the president's supporters in Henderson, making her third stop in the state since the president's re-election campaign began in earnest.

Obama handily won Nevada in 2008 and the state is considered a must-win state again this time around.
