SAMMY DAVIS JR. UNLV JACKET FETCHES $2,625

Anna Nicole Smith's ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead purchased Sammy Davis Jr.'s UNLV letterman jacket over the weekend. Birkhead paid $2,625 for the jacket at Julien's Auctions' summer entertainment sale at Planet Hollywood Resort. The jacket has "Sammy Davis Jr." embroidered in white thread on the right breast with the UNLV patch on the left breast, and "S Davis Jr" embroidered on an inside pocket. The jacket had been part of the preview display at Symbolic Gallery, 4631 Dean Martin Drive, just north of Tropicana Avenue. The gallery is the home of the world's largest privately held collection of Johnny Cash memorabilia.  (Image courtesy Symbolic Gallery)
