San Rafael becomes family affair

When Teodoro and Audelia Serna moved to Southern Nevada nearly two decades ago from Guanajuanto in central Mexico, they did so to give a better life to their eight children. And, they had their children in mind again when they made the move to Pardee Homes' San Rafael neighborhood in North Las Vegas.

"My parents wanted to move to a neighborhood where there was the opportunity for my siblings to buy also," Maria Serna said. "They bought first, then my brothers and sisters followed, and today six of the eight siblings all live in San Rafael."

And, nobody could be happier about the closeness than the matriarch of the family, Audelia, who beams as she holds her newest grandchild, Issac, who was born in July.

The award-winning San Rafael Plan One has 1,577 square feet with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a two-car garage.

The Plan Two includes 1,651 square feet with two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a den and two-bay garage. It is also available with up to four bedrooms and three baths in up to 1,860 square feet.
