Sandoval makes it official: Gansert, Erquiaga, Clinger to remain

Gov.-elect Brian Sandoval on Wednesday announced three key contributors to his transition will remain on staff after he takes office.

Former assembly minority leader Heidi Gansert, R-Reno, former Clark County School District lobbyist Dale Erquiaga will be a senior advisor and Andrew Clinger, Director of the Department of Administration and budget director under Gov. Jim Gibbons, will remain in those roles.

Sandoval brought Gansert and Erquiaga onto his transition team Nov. 3, the day after he was elected governor over Democrat Rory Reid.

Clinger has received praise from people in both major parties for taking an objective, realistic approach to budgeting.
