Sandoval strikes back with bi-partisan attack
A new television ad from gubernatorial candidate Brian Sandoval lashes out at both Democratic candidate Rory Reid and incumbent Republican Gov. Jim Gibbons, accusing each of lying.
The ad from Sandoval, the leading Republican candidate in statewide polling, starts with ominous music and asks viewers "Fed up with politicians who won't tell the truth?"
It cuts to pictures of Reid and references an anti-Sandoval ad funded by the Democratic Governors Association and coordinated by longtime Reid adviser Dan Hart.
The voiceover continues: "Like Rory Reid's Washington friends running these ads lying about Brian Sandoval?"
Next, the ad takes aim at Gibbons, who polls show is the closest to Sandoval in the Republican primary.
"Jim Gibbons, he says he never raised taxes but he did," the ad states.
It closes with: "Reid and Gibbons, everything that is wrong with public service," before shifting to a more hopeful strain of music and a plug for Sandoval as the candidate to provide "Honest, conservative leadership."
