Seven football recruits visiting UNLV

UNLV is bringing in at least seven football recruits this weekend, including three who have committed to the Rebels.

The players who committed are quarterback Jared Lebowitz (6 feet 3 inches, 185 pounds), tight end Jacobie Russell (6-4, 225) and running back Keith Whitely (5-10, 180).

Lebowitz, who attends St. Francis High School in La Canada, Calif., passed for 2,560 yards and 23 touchdowns last season.

Russell goes to Houston's North Shore High, where UNLV running back Tim Cornett and wide receiver Devante Davis played.

Whitely is a Rivals.com and Scout.com three-star prospect, and is ranked the nation's No. 62 back by Scout. He reportedly is scheduled to visit Texas State next weekend, and also has scholarship offers San Jose State, Colorado State, New Mexico State and North Texas.

Here are the other players visiting this weekend:

Defensive back Kori Gaines (5-9, 165), College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, Calif. He began his college career at Brigham Young.

Linebacker David Moffitt (6-2, 205), De La Salle High in Concord, Calif. Reportedly will visit UNR next weekend. Also has scholarship offers from Arizona, Colorado, Colorado State, Houston, Utah and Washington State. A Scout three-star recruit, who is ranked the nation's No. 39 safety.

Linebacker Malo Seula (6-0, 225), Tafuna High in American Samoa.

Defensive end Robert Stanley (6-2, 205), Bishop Gorman High. Also has a scholarship offer from Southern Utah.
