Shea debuts green-certified model homes at Ardiente

Recently, the debut of three model homes from Shea Homes attracted prospective homebuyers to Ardiente, North Las Vegas' gated, age-qualified master-planned community.

Hundreds of visitors toured the three models -- Rome, Monaco and Nice -- that offer energy-saving features that are included in all new Ardiente homes and are built to the Shea green-certified standards. The functional and flexible single-story floor plans range from 1,406 to 1,928 square feet, with pricing from the mid $100,000s.

"What we heard consistently throughout the grand opening weekend was that our guests were thrilled with the full complement of what Ardiente offers -- from the community's clubhouse, fitness center and additional recreational amenities to our newly introduced model homes," said Ryan Smith, sales manager.

"People found themselves very much at ease with our inventive use of space," Smith said. "They were especially keen on the placement of windows within our homes, which greatly adds to a feeling of openness and connection to the outdoors. Shea Homes typically includes as much as 20 percent more window space than other homebuilders."

As part of its nationally recognized Shea Green Certified program, Shea Homes has implemented the Environments for Living program as a key component of all new home construction at Ardiente. With specific standards for tight construction, fresh air ventilation, improved thermal systems, correct-sized HVAC equipment, as well as lighting and water conservation, the resulting homes deliver enhanced homeowner and environmental benefits. Plus, all Shea Green Certified Green EFL rated homes come with a written energy usage guarantee.

Ardiente's Shea Green Certified homes also can include a variety of Energy Star appliances, such as dishwashers, refrigerators, washer/dryers, oven range and microwave.Homes are also equipped with Andersen Silver Line dual pane, low-e, vinyl windows and sliding glass doors.

Ardiente offers 20,000 square feet of resort-style amenities including a private clubhouse featuring two pools, a state-of-the-art fitness center, group exercise room and billiard room. Outdoor recreational facilities at Ardiente include tennis and bocce courts, seven parks, 2½ miles of walking and fitness trails and a challenging putting course.

Smith said that a significant percentage of potential homebuyers were from out of state. "Certainly, we've always drawn well as a destination for retirees and second home buyers from California, but for this grand opening event we attracted an impressive number of active adults from the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain states, which are also Nevada migrators."

Ardiente is located in North Las Vegas, one of Nevada's fastest growing cities.
