SHOOTING STARS EXTRA: Saturday casting call for ‘Don’t Forget the Lyrics’

It's tune time once again as an all-new syndicated version of "Don't Forget the Lyrics" hits Las Vegas Saturday.

Tryouts will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday inside Bonkerz Comedy Club at Palace Station. Aspiring contestants should bring a photo ID.

Debuting this fall, the musical game show will test contestants' knowledge of song lyrics, from Motown to Nashville, rockabilly to hip-hop. Mark McGrath (ex-Sugar Ray, ex-"Extra") will host the show, which also will be telecast on VH1 and MyNetworkTV.

Casting officials are looking for fun, outgoing contestants over 18 with extensive knowledge of popular song lyrics — and a willingness to sing those songs for a chance to win major cash prizes.
