SHOOTING STARS EXTRA: Wheelmobile rolls into town this weekend

"Wheel of Fortune" loves Las Vegas. (And Las Vegas loves "Wheel of Fortune" — at least if you can judge by all those "Wheel" slots spinning at local casinos.)

And if you're a Las Vegan who loves "Wheel" — the TV original — now's your chance to try out for the syndicated game show, which airs locally on KVBC-TV, Channel 3.

The show's Wheelmobile returns to The Venetian from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in search of new players. Prospective players should report to the Venetian Ballroom to pick up an application and get the Wheel(mobile) spinning; more information is available online at www.mynews3.com.

Free tickets for the show's mid-July taping sessions will be available online starting June 1. Stay tuned to Shooting Stars every Monday for more "Wheel" details.
