Sir, are you committed to sealing the border against illegal drugs?

After a press conference to protest his own state's crackdown on illegal aliens, Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Give 'Em All Amnesty, fielded an excellent question from a CNS News reporter who asked the congressman "Are you committed to sealing the border against the influx of illegal drugs?"
See the response for yourself.
I'm going to write about the new Arizona law in Sunday's Las Vegas Review-journal. As always, I'll appreciate your readership. Where else you gonna find Presidents Chester A. Arthur, Barack Obama and Apache chiefs Geronimo, Victorio and Chatto all in the same 600 word essay? Nowhere. Only here. You can find the column directly at this link:
Meanwhile, if you want to educate yourself on exactly what the new Arizona law does, and just what the influx of illegal immigrants has meant to Arizona, I encourage you to spend a little time on the Center for Immigration website.
Here's a sample of what you'll find:
-- Illegal immigrants are estimated to be 10 percent of the adult population of Phoenix.
--22 percent of felonies in Phoenix are committed by illegal immigrants.
-- Approximately 17 percent of those arrested by the Border Patrol in its Tucson Sector have criminal records in the United States.
-- An estimated one-third of households headed by illegal immigrants in Arizona used at least one major welfare program, primarily food-assistance programs or Medicaid. Benefits were typically received on behalf of U.S.-born children.
