Solera at Stallion Mountain celebrates second anniversary with social events

In the coming weeks, Del Webb's Solera at Stallion Mountain, an age-qualified community in the southeastern Las Vegas Valley, will host social events, including a pool party with a barbecue and live DJ, ice cream social, bingo brunch and country-western dance, according to activities director Wendy Linow.

In addition, the musical act The Tommy Thompson Project will headline a celebration marking the community center's second anniversary July 14.

Priced from the low $300,000s, the community offers three floor plans, ranging from 1,671 to 1,900 square feet. Each home offers three bedrooms and two baths, as well as a two-car garage.

Linow said activities within the community, which will ultimately total 838 residences, are determined by resident preference. The development has reached its halfway point, according to Linow.

"Solera at Stallion Mountain isn't the largest of our age-qualified communities, but homeowners here turn out in great numbers for our events and activities," she said. "We offer such a wide selection of activities because we are member driven and our homeowners enjoy doing lots of different things."

In addition to special events, the community regularly hosts line dancing classes, fitness classes, a singles club, poker and bridge tournaments and group bocce and tennis games.

Amenities within the community, which is part of the guard-gated Stallion Mountain Country Club, include a swimming pool and spa, tennis and bocce courts and a community center with club and hobby rooms.

Located near the Clark County Wetlands Park, the homes are constructed with Environments for Living building technology, with blown-in cellulose insulation, air-conditioned attic spaces, 15 SEER air-conditioning units, and dual-paned, vinyl-framed low-e windows. According to the builder, homeowners benefit from decreased internal and external contaminants; increased indoor air quality; decreased heating and cooling usage; and increased comfort, durability and tightness.

"Once they see it, people love it," Linow said. "It feels so secluded at the edge of the valley, yet every major amenity is already within easy reach. In addition, the location offers an easy commute to other key locations in the Las Vegas Valley."

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Flamingo Road, go east, past Nellis Boulevard, to the entrance of Stallion Mountain Country Club. The security officer at the gate will point visitors toward the model homes.
