Sports park to open at Tuscan Cliffs within Southern Highlands

Buyers at Pacific Southwest Development's Tuscan Cliffs at Southern Highlands will soon enjoy a new 20-acre sports park, according to the development.

Scheduled to open next year, the park will be between Stonewater Lane and Starr Hills Avenue within the Southern Highlands master-planned community.

The site, which includes land for an elementary and middle school, borders the western edge of Tuscan Cliffs, a guard-gated neighborhood of semi-custom homes built by Pacific Southwest Development.

"The sports park will be perfect for runners, dog walkers, ball players, and families, and will be a major addition to the Tuscan Cliffs lifestyle," said Kristi Kramer, vice president of Pacific Southwest Development.

"With the Spa and Golf Club just across the street and a variety of shops and restaurants along Southern Highlands Parkway, the park and school sites ensure that residents will have most of their needs close to home, many just a short walk away."

The park will feature walking trails, four lighted baseball fields, two practice fields, four lighted soccer fields, shaded spectator areas, and two lighted picnic and playground areas.

The elevated parcel overlooks the Las Vegas Valley from a site adjacent to the foothills.

"We're pleased to see such a wide variety of amenities coming to the community," Kramer said.

"They complement the lifestyle of Tuscan Cliffs, which emphasizes enjoyment of the outdoors and the serenity of one of the Las Vegas Valley's most beautiful sites."

To visit Tuscan Cliffs, take Interstate 15 to just south of the St. Rose Parkway exit and follow the turn around to Southern Highlands Parkway. Proceed to Stonewater Lane, then turn left and follow the signs.

Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Mondays, when it opens at 1 p.m. The sales office phone number is 228-8559.
