Stephanopoulos at UNLV

Southern Nevada political junkies may be interested in this upcoming installment in UNLV's Barrick Lecture Series: George Stephanopoulos, host of the eponymous Sunday morning show on ABC, will speak about national politics on March 3. It's free and open to the public, but you might want to pick up tickets ahead of time.

WHAT:  George Stephanopoulos, ABC News’ Chief Washington Correspondent and host of ABC’s Sunday morning political affairs program, “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” will present a talk called “Washington, D.C.’s Political Scene: Today’s News and Future Predictions.” Stephanopoulos has been at ABC since 1997 and reports on political and policy stories for all ABC News programs and Web sites. Before joining ABC, Stephanopoulos served as senior advisor in policy and strategy to President Bill Clinton.

WHEN:  Tuesday, March, 3, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Free and open to the public.

WHERE:   Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall at UNLV

DETAILS:  Tickets for faculty, students, staff and general public can be picked up at the UNLV Performing Arts Center box office on Maryland Parkway off of Cottage Grove Avenue. Tickets are limited to two per person. The Barrick Lecture Series, funded through a grant from philanthropist Marjorie Barrick, presents nationally and internationally known speakers from a variety of fields at UNLV.
