CITY TO REPLACE 6,600 STREETLIGHTS WITH ENERGY-EFFICIENT LED FIXTURES
The city of Las Vegas has begun replacing 6,600 existing streetlights with new, energy-efficient LED (light-emitting diode) fixtures. The new streetlights are expected to save $400,000 per year in energy costs and provide more vibrant color, geared toward enhancing the safety of the neighborhoods.
BUNCO TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
Team United is hosting its third annual Bunco Tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society Making Strides against Breast Cancer. The tournament is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday at UnitedHealthcare, 2716 N. Tenaya Way.
Tickets are $15 for Bunco only and $25 for Bunco and dinner. The evening includes dinner (optional), entertainment and prizes.

SIGN UP FOR FLAG FOOTBALL
A Youth Flag Football League for players ages 6 to 14 is planned from Sept. 17 through Nov. 19 on weekdays and Saturday mornings.
The cost is $75 per person and includes a league jersey, flags and a practice jersey. All games will be played at All-American Park, 1551 S. Buffalo Drive at Oakey Drive.
Youths will participate in three age groups: 6 to 8, 9 to 11 and 12 to 14. Learn the basic fundamentals of flag football, teamwork and sportsmanship.

LEARN MORE ABOUT HAITI RELIEF AT GRACE IN THE DESERT CHURCH
A presentation of the Haiti Partnership Program by the Rev. Clelia Garrity is planned for 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Grace in the Desert Episcopal Church, 2004 Spring Gate Lane. The presentation will include a traditional Haitian dinner.
A suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for children. All proceeds will benefit the children of St. Luc's in Leogane, Haiti.

The Large Vision Business Network Mixer plans to host its next event from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 30 at the Suncoast, 9090 Alta Drive.
The LVBNM Mega Mixer Consumer Expo will include more than 50 area businesses showcasing their products and services. The Chefs Corner will serve up bites of international flavors.
