"Neighborhood amenities are popular with valley home buyers who appreciate recreational and social amenities closer to home," said Peggy Chandler, senior vice president of community development for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin. "Amenities on a neighborhood level complement the abundant community amenities throughout Summerlin, including parks and recreational facilities, schools, houses of worship, shopping centers and more. When it comes to amenities in the Las Vegas Valley, Summerlin tops the charts in both quantity and quality. And we're not finished yet."
In fact, several of the community's future amenities are planned for Summerlin Centre, including a new public high school, another large community park, 400,000 square feet of additional office space and the highly anticipated 1.6 million-square-foot regional retail center. "Summerlin Centre is poised to be one of the most vibrant villages in Summerlin."
Completed amenities in Summerlin Centre include retail centers, office parks, restaurants, two major community parks and dozens of neighborhood parks, miles of trails, a retirement center, private junior/senior high school, Clark County fire station, and the $1 billion Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa, which features a movie theatre and bowling alley.
