Summerlin offers new homes in The Mesa

For more than a decade, KB Home has built more than 4,400 homes in 27 neighborhoods throughout the master-planned community of Summerlin.

According to Renee Gervais, vice president of sales and marketing for KB Home Nevada, the company appreciates building in master-planned communities with amenities.

"Summerlin leads the pack when it comes to established, standard-setting master-planned communities," she said.

"The community is not only a dream for residents, but also for home builders like KB Home that value the lifestyle offerings of its neighborhoods."

KB Home is selling four home floor plans ranging from three to five bedrooms at Ladera Crest located in The Mesa, Summerlin's newest and most southern village. Home floor plans range from 2,388 to 2,883 square feet and are priced starting in the $270,000s.

In addition to community-wide amenities, Ladera residents enjoy immediate access to a private park and pool, featuring open lawn areas, seating ramadas and children's play areas.

According to Julie Cleaver, vice president of design and planning for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin, private neighborhood parks offer homeowners immediate proximity to their own play area and open space.

"Neighborhood parks provide both social and recreational opportunities for residents in their own back yard," she said. "They make it easy to meet neighbors and encourage social interaction."

The Mesa is a nearly 500-acre village that will ultimately be home to several residential neighborhoods in addition to a large 19-acre community park, The Mesa Park, which is planned to open this fall.

Located on Town Center Drive and Mesa Park Drive, the park will significantly contribute to the recreational offerings of the village by adding tennis courts, three Little League baseball fields (one with stadium-style seating), a basketball court, tot lot, covered picnic ramadas and a large open play area.

Located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley, Summerlin encompasses 22,500 acres with as many as 9,000 acres remaining for future growth within the master plan, including the community's urban core of Summerlin Centre.

The community is home to more than 95,000 residents who enjoy an unparalleled list of amenities.

The community's amenities include more than 100 neighborhood and village parks, more than 150 completed miles of the Summerlin trail system, nine golf courses, a dozen houses of worship, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, business parks, 22 public and private schools and nearly 100 actively selling floor plans.

Homes are available in a variety of styles -- from single-family homes to townhomes, condominiums and lofts -- priced from the mid-$200,000s to more than $2 million.
