Summerlin rolls out new smartphone app

The Howard Hughes Corp. has launched its Summerlin home-finding app, a free, downloadable search engine for smartphones. The app is the first of its kind in this market.

According to Danielle Bisterfeldt, Summerlin director of marketing, more than 90 percent of all home searches begin online and 53 percent of all Americans have smartphones. Of those, more than half use the device for apps and browsing.

“Summerlin has more than 11 actively selling neighborhoods offering more than 63 different home styles, so there are many options when looking for a home here,” she said.

Las Vegas house hunters and Realtors can search by home type, such as single-family, condo or townhome; price range; number of bedrooms and baths; and Summerlin village. The app provides users with directions, floor plans, color photos, videos, list of amenities and neighborhood maps. It also allows the user to save homes for future reference and share information about homes. The app allows the home shopper to connect via phone or email to a builders’ sales agent with a simple tap of the smartphone touch-screen display.

Homebuyers can download the app for free by going to their smartphone app store and searching “Summerlin.”
