Summerlin village nears completion

The final three developments in The Vistas Village of Summerlin are under way. They include the village's final residential neighborhood of Kingwood; Vista Commons, a 100,000-square-foot Albertsons-anchored neighborhood shopping center; and the second phase of The Vistas Community Park, which will add a 6,500-square-foot community center and swimming pool to the list of neighborhood amenities.

Kingwood features 15 home floor plans built by three valley home builders. Kingwood Knoll by Ryland Homes offers seven home floor plans that range from 1,515 to 2,224 square feet and are priced starting in the low $300,000s.

Kingwood Crossing by William Lyon Homes features four floor plans that range from 1,948 to 2,737 square feet and are priced from the high $300,000s.

Crown Series at Kingwood by R/S Development features four floor plans that range from 2,426 to 3,158 square feet and are priced from the low $500,000s.

Upon completion, Kingwood will be home to two neighborhood parks and more than 325 homes.

Vista Commons sits on 13 acres in the southwest region of the village. It offers neighboring residents shopping and dining options.

The Vistas Community Park is home to Summerlin's first football field, lighted softball fields with a concession building, lighted tennis and basketball courts, a group picnic pavilion and children's playgrounds.

The Howard Hughes Corp. started development on The Vistas Village in 2000. The 815-acre European-inspired village is already home to more than two dozen residential neighborhoods; miles of walking trails; two 7-acre entry parks, North Tower Park and South Tower Park; the 20-plus acre Vistas Community Park; Linda Givens Elementary School; and Vista Commons shopping center.

The Vistas is located west of Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, between West Charleston Boulevard and Far Hills Avenue.

To visit from I-215, exit westbound on West Charleston and make the first right on Vista Center.
