Sun City Aliante to host arts and crafts fair

Del Webb's Sun City Aliante, located in the Aliante master- planned community, will host its second annual Arts and Crafts Fair Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sun City Aliante community center. The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature a variety of artisans displaying and selling their works, along with live entertainment, a KJUL 104.7fm live radio remote with free prizes, and prize raffles for valuable gift certificates and cash cards. Special activities for children will include face painting and balloon art (for a nominal fee) and free scrapbooking.
A variety of food and refreshments will be available for sale.
Karla Curran, program director for Sun City Aliante, said, "We're looking forward to another highly successful Arts and Crafts Fair this year. The various art exhibits and hands-on activities will make it a day of fun and learning for people of all ages. It will also be a great opportunity for people to get an early start on their holiday shopping."
The Sun City Aliante Community center is located at 7394 Aliante Parkway, just north of the Aliante Station hotel and casino, which will open this winter. Take U.S. Highway 95 north to Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, and exit East. Head east on I-215, exit at Aliante Parkway and proceed north, just past the casino.
