Sun City Mesquite marks sales

Sun City Mesquite recently experienced its 500th sale, according to Sales Manager, Lila Williams, who says the age-qualified community continues to be the sales leader among more than 50 Del Webb communities nationwide.

"Our location is perfect for people seeking a friendly climate, small-town environment, easy access to nearby shopping, dining and recreational opportunities; as well as medical services and other conveniences. We're also within a short drive of the excitement of Las Vegas to the south and some of the nation's most stunning national parks to the north," Williams said.

When completed Sun City Mesquite will house about 3,400 homes. It opened in early 2007.

Buyers have a selection of 14 new single-story designs that range from 1,200 to 3,100 square feet with two- or three-car garages. Prices start in the low $190,000s.

According to Williams, construction is underway for Sun City Mesquite's Conestoga Golf Club, which was designed by Gary Panks & Associates of Scottsdale, Ariz. and is to open in late 2009. Each homebuyer will receive benefits such as preferred tee times and golf rates, Williams said.

Residents also have private access to a 30,000-square-foot community recreation center, the Pioneer Center, recently named through a resident contest at the center's one-year anniversary celebration.

The community is offering a $99 vacation getaway weekend for two, which offers prospective buyers an opportunity to spend time exploring the community. The package includes three-day, two-night local hotel accommodations and a $100 voucher to the Casablanca Hotel, which can be used for a dinner for two at Katherine's Steakhouse, or towards spa or golf.

Visitors also have full use of the Pioneer Center. Vacation getaway weekends are planned throughout 2009 with reservations currently being accepted through March 2009.
