July 26, 2008 - 9:00 pm
Construction of homes and community amenities continues at Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite, which is still Del Webb's best-selling age-qualified development in the United States, according to sales manager Lila Williams.
"We are now just over 'one year new' at Sun City Mesquite and have experienced more than 460 sales since our official grand opening in June 2007," Williams said.
She said construction of on-site amenities is being completed on schedule, including the first five holes for the community's private, 18-hole golf course, which was designed by the award-winning firm of Gary Panks & Associates of Scottsdale, Ariz.
The official grand opening of the golf course is anticipated for the final quarter of 2009.
Sun City Mesquite offers a selection of 15 single-story home designs ranging from 1,200 to 3,100 square feet with two- or three-car garages. Prices start in the low $190,000s.
Del Webb is selling homes in the new Saddle Horn area of Sun City Mesquite, which offers premier golf-course home sites with fairway and water views. Home sites are also available near the community's planned Conestoga Golf Club House.
The new Joshua design is a single-story home that offers 3,075 square feet with dual master bedroom suites and a third large bedroom with a private bath.
Residents of Sun City Mesquite have private access to a 30,000-square-foot community recreation center. Inside, it features a climate-controlled swimming pool, heated spa, two-story fitness center with an upper-level walking track, lounge with a plasma screen TV and computer kiosks.
Outside there is an 18-hole putting green, also designed by Gary Panks & Associates; climate-controlled swimming pool; lounge chairs; shaded areas; two heated spas; and tennis, bocce and pickle ball courts.
