TOWN ADVISORY BOARDS TO MEET
The Paradise Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today at the Paradise Recreation and Community Services Center, 4775 S. McLeod Drive.
The Winchester Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. today at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.
The Whitney Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Whitney Recreation Center, 5712 E. Missouri Ave.
The Sunrise Manor Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hollywood Recreation and Community Services Center, 1650 S. Hollywood Blvd.

Horsemanship events planned
Ride for the Riches-Ranch Sorting is scheduled Saturday and Sunday at Horseman's Park, 5800 E. Flamingo Road. Ranch sorting is an equestrian event in which riders separate cattle from a group. Admission is free for spectators. For more information about the event, contact Gail Powers at 528-1793.

Yu-Gi-Oh! open dueling scheduled
Open play of Yu-Gi-Oh!, a collectable trading card game, is scheduled from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave. Players must bring their own decks. Art submissions sought
Clark County Parks and Recreation is seeking art submissions to be displayed at the Day of the Dead exhibition at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, scheduled for Oct. 23 through Nov. 3. Works must relate to the holiday, which celebrates the lives of past and present loved ones. Artists must be 14 or older and residents of Clark County. A $100 prize is slated for best of show. Works must be dropped off between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Oct. 17 or 18. Blackjacks plan Rugby practice
The Las Vegas Blackjacks rugby team is scheduled to practice at 7 p.m. today and Wednesday at Sunset Park, 2601 E. Sunset Road. The group practices at the park regularly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Hispanic heritage month
Clark County libraries are set to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a variety of events in September.
Fiesta! Featuring a mini fiesta, a puppet show, bingo and crafts for kids 11 or younger is scheduled from 4 to 5 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave. For more information, call 507-3900.
