Surprise, Surprise: PLAN thumps Ensign

The liberal Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada (PLAN) is once again pounding on poor, beleaguered Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev., Seldom Seen) for his vote in the Senate Finance Committee “against giving the people of Nevada the choice of a public health insurance option.”

Bob Fulkerson, PLAN’s executive director, accused Ensign of siding with the health insurance industry against the interests of Nevadans. He accused Ensign of receiving more than $2.4 million in campaign contributions from the health care and insurance industries.

What Fulkerson didn’t suggest was that all Nevadans who lack health insurance write to Ensign’s generous parents and request help. I understand they are very helpful when it comes to making up for their son’s mistakes.
