Swiss accounts: Americans step forward to avoid tax prosecution

Americans suspected of tax evasion by hiding assets in formerly secret Swiss bank accounts continue to come forward in droves, IRS
sources confirm. That includes a number of Southern Nevada residents, I’m told.

The Internal Revenue Service has extended its deadline to Oct. 15 for citizens with offshore bank accounts to step up, pay back taxes
and interest, and avoid felony prosecution.
