Tea Party saved the GOP

An essay by Peggy Noonan today makes good reading as we Nevadans find ourselves caught in the middle of all that's going on in this country in regards to "change," "hope," "anti-incumbent fever" and the "Tea Party movement." She writes:

"This election is about one man, Barack Obama, who fairly or not represents the following: the status quo, Washington, leftism, Nancy Pelosi, Fannie and Freddie, and deficits in trillions, not billions.

"Everyone who votes is going to be pretty much voting yay or nay on all of that. And nothing can change that story line now."

For all of Nevada's liberal pundits who cross their fingers by day and light candles at night for liberal establishment incumbents, I recommend it. If you don't read it now, keep it handy for Nov. 3. It will help explain things when you look around that day and say: "What happened?"
