Teachers pick Pardee Highgate home

Jennifer and Joe Aznarez are proud new parents of 4-month-old Olivia -- a welcome addition that led the couple on a search for a larger home. That search led the family to Providence, a new master-planned community in the northwestern valley.

"We wanted to purchase a home in a nice neighborhood and our real estate agent recommended that we visit Providence," Joe Aznarez said. "That's where we found Highgate Plan Four, which offered the square footage and features we wanted at a price we could afford."

Joe Aznarez, a teacher and football coach at Palo Verde High School, is a Las Vegas native, while Jennifer Aznarez is finishing up a second master's degree at UNLV and will start the school year as part of the staff at the new D.L. "Dusty" Dickens Elementary School, scheduled to open in August in North Las Vegas.

"We wanted to stay in the northwest, which is close to our schools and close to Joe's family," Jennifer Aznarez said. "And, we are so excited about our amazing new home."

The couple selected their floor plan, which measures 3,413 square feet with four bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, loft, two-car garage, plus one-car swing garage and an extended great room in lieu of the parlor. The home can be built with a work space in lieu of the one-car swing garage, and has an upstairs loft and laundry room and optional balcony off the master bedroom.

"We love to host our friends and family, and the kitchen and extended great room are perfect for entertaining," Jennifer Aznarez said. "And, we really wanted a loft and downstairs bedroom, which the plan offers. We look forward to growing as a family in our new home."

Highgate is a collection of upscale one- and two-story homes that measure from 2,221 to 3,413 square feet with home sites that average 6,600 square feet. Prices range from $419,450 to $521,950.

Highgate's floor plans are offered in Spanish Colonial, Country European and Prairie Ranch elevations with such features as courtyards, dens, kitchens and adjoining family rooms, optional casitas, studios, lofts, optional workspaces, parlors and optional extended great rooms.

Residence One measures 2,221 square feet with three bedrooms, two baths, a three-car garage, open kitchen and great room, dining room and master bedroom and bath in a single-story design.

Residence Two measures 2,650 square feet with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, den, two-car garage, plus one-car swing garage in a single-story design with a courtyard. Additional features include a den, family room that is open to the kitchen, and open living/dining room area.

Residence Three is a two-story home measuring 2,786 square feet with four bedrooms, three baths, loft, two-car expanded garage and optional casita or studio available on Plan Three X at select home sites.

The home also features a breakfast nook, island kitchen, open great room and dining area, downstairs bedroom and full bath, upstairs loft and laundry room.

To visit, exit from Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, at Hualapai Way and travel north. Turn left on Dorrell Lane and left again on Audubon Street.
