Test Site reborn

That's pretty much how Sen. Harry Reid would like to portray his announcement yesterday that new federal jobs would pour into Southern Nevada with the creation of a solar power test facility to be created at the Nevada Test Site.

On the topic of gift horses, is it a cheap re-election tactic or evidence of Sen. Reid's clout? That's a November question. As for me the proper attitude is this: If the money, and jobs, and the project development are not dependent upon some kind of string attached to the next election ... I say take the "Christmas in July" announcement ... and don't look back.
