The biggest whopper of all …

Every presidential campaign -- from 1776 to 2012 -- featured accusations of lying.
This one is no different. I'll let you decide from your vantage point who said what about whom.
But I can't let this one go without comment and condemnation. On "Entertainment Tonight," President Obama was asked about how he responded to the accusation that he is out to divide the country. Here's what he said:
"We're going around the country, talking about, ‘How do we put people back to work? How do we improve our schools? How do we make sure that we're producing American energy? How do we lower our debt in a responsible way?' And I don't think you or anybody who's been watching the campaign would say that in any way we have tried to divide the country. We've always tried to bring the country together."
I don't think the statement, "We've always tried to bring the country together," passes the smell test.
ObamaCare rammed into law over the clear objections of most Americans. The president's unwise taking sides in the unresolved case of Trayvon Martin is another. The racially charged dressing down of the white cops in Cambridge that resulted in the so-called "Beer Summit." The concerted attempt to gouge "the rich" with more taxes while growing the number of people who get a check from the government. Forcing pro-life Americans into paying for abortions. Condoning ads that say his opponent actually killed people by somehow facilitating the loss of their health-care coverage. Green-lighting the vice president to say his opponent wants to put black people back in chains.
C'mon, man? These are not divisive?
"We've always tried to bring the country together." Always?
