The jackals on the left
December 14, 2012 - 4:09 pm
A 20-year-old lone gunman entered an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., this morning and killed his mother (a kindergarten teacher at the school), five other adults and 20 children.
It's a tragedy beyond words. Yet, within minutes of the shooting hitting the wires, liberal anti-gun advocates hit the Internet to step up on their soap boxes to exploit the tragedy.
Reid Wilson, to name one, immediately took to the National Journal website to hammer President Barack Obama for not putting an end to such violence by pushing for an end to the Second Amendment guaranteeing Americans the right to bear arms.
As if the gun killed those children. Or as if the blood of those children somehow rest on the hands of the president.
Why must Reid and his pals use the bodies of these children to shout out their political goals?
I, of course, have no problem with the political discussion. But you'd think the left would have enough good sense to take up the discussion divorced of any one tragedy. But they don't. They are like jackals circling a kill.
It is unbecoming. And it ought to stop.
