The Majors to feature family park

One of Rhodes Ranch's family friendly neighborhoods is building a park exclusively for its residents. The Majors' neighborhood park is under construction and expected to be complete next month.

"The Majors is a very family oriented neighborhood and many of our residents have children," said sales associate John Smith. "This park will give families a nearby place to bring their children and get together with their neighbors."

According to Smith, more than half the homes in The Majors have been sold after opening just six months ago for sales. A new phase is scheduled to become available in February.

"It is a great time to buy a home in The Majors right now," Smith said. "We have fantastic cash incentives on homes in all phases of construction as well as pre-construction homes."

The Majors offers two floor plans with 3,021 and 3,431 square feet. The 3021 model features a spiral staircase along with three bedrooms, three baths, family room, living room, den, loft, breakfast nook and two-car garage.

"Residents have the option of using the den as a fourth bedroom, which has been popular among families with teenagers or frequent visitors," Smith said. "The den is located on the first floor and has direct access to a full bath, so it offers a level of privacy away from the other bedrooms upstairs."

The 3431 model at The Majors is a five bedroom home with 41/2 baths, powder room, family room, laundry room, breakfast nook, front deck and three-car tandem garage. This model also features a bedroom and full bath downstairs.

Both homes at the Majors offer options for fireplaces and standard walk-in closets, kitchen islands and upstairs laundry rooms.

Adding to the convenience of living at The Majors is a new Rhodes Ranch entrance being planned for the west side of the community at Ft. Apache Road. The entrance will be guard-gated and offers easy access to the neighborhood.

As residents of the Rhodes Ranch master plan, The Majors homeowners have access to the 35,000-square-foot R Club recreation center with dozens of indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family. The community's Fun Zone Water Park opened last year and features eight water slides as well as a 13,000-square-foot lagoon pool.

The Rhodes Ranch Golf Club has become one of the hottest golf destinations in Las Vegas. Designed by renowned architect Ted Robinson, the par-72 course was named a Best Value by Vegas Golfer magazine and envelops players in its lush tropical surroundings.

Rhodes Homes has built more than 6,000 homes in the Las Vegas Valley during the past two decades and is developing 16 neighborhoods throughout the city.

Prices at The Majors start in the low $400,000s. To visit, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, to Durango Drive, then go south to Rhodes Ranch. Head west on Rhodes Ranch Parkway and turn left on Sherwood Greens. Follow the road to The Majors models on the left.

The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 458.8222 or visit rhodeshomes.com.
