‘The Stolen Child’

  A modern fairy tale, "The Stolen Child" recounts the life of Henry Day, who runs away from home and is abducted by changelings.
  Henry is forced to remain a child in the forest, while at the same time a changeling assumes his identity.
  The book follows Henry and his double as time passes and they both search their memories in hopes of understanding who they truly are.
  Keith Donohue's debut novel is a wonderful, magical read. It is a dark fairy tale to be sure, but the story is compelling and kept me completely absorbed.
