The Vistas Village of Summerlin offers 15 floor plans in Kingwood
Fifteen home floor plans are selling in Kingwood, the final neighborhood of The Vistas Village of Summerlin. Floor plans include both single- and two-story homes that range from 1,515 to 3,158 square feet, priced starting in the low $300,000s.
Kingwood is The Vistas' largest single-family neighborhood and will ultimately be home to 325 homes built by three valley home builders.
Kingwood Knoll by Ryland Homes offers seven floor plans that range from 1,515 to 2,224 square feet, priced starting in the low $300,000s.
Kingwood Crossing by William Lyon Homes offers four floor plans that range from 1,948 to 2,737 square feet, priced starting in the high $300,000s.
Crown Series at Kingwood by R/S Development offers four floor plans that range from 2,426 to 3,158 square feet, priced starting from the low $500,000s.
Other developments under way in The Vistas include Vista Commons, a neighborhood shopping center anchored by Albertsons grocery store, which opened in August. Construction on the shopping center is expected to be completed early next year.
Also under way is the second phase of The Vistas Community Park, which will add a 6,000-square-foot private community center and swimming and wading pools.
Similar to Summerlin's other community centers, The Vistas Community Center will be programmed with a variety of classes, activities and events organized for residents. The community center and pool are expected to open in 2009.
The Vistas is home to dozens of residential neighborhoods; The Vistas Community Park, a 20-plus-acre park housing Summerlin's first football field, lighted baseball/softball fields, lighted tennis courts, children's playground and open lawn areas; South Tower Park and North Tower Park, which are marked with 48-foot clock towers; more than 30 neighborhood parks; Linda Givens Elementary School; and miles of recreational trails.
The village commenced development in 2000 and was the first Summerlin village west of Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway.
"As soon as it opened, The Vistas became one of Summerlin's most popular villages," said Julie Cleaver, director of planning for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin. "And with all it has to offer, it's no wonder The Vistas has been one of Summerlin's fastest-selling villages in the community's history. The close proximity to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area to the west, the scenic views of the Las Vegas Valley to the east, the diversity of homes, neighborhood amenities and charming Tuscan-inspired architectural style combine to create a highly desirable Summerlin address."
Developed by The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties Inc., Summerlin began to take shape in 1990. The 22,500-acre master-planned community is located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley.
The community is home to more than 95,000 residents. With about 7,500 acres to develop, including its urban core, Summerlin Centre, Summerlin is continuing to unfold.
The master-planned community is home to more than 100 neighborhood and village parks, more than 150 completed miles of the Summerlin trail system, nine golf courses, a dozen houses of worship, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, business parks, 22 public and private schools and more than 100 actively selling floor plans.
