n A Chills and Thrills Safe Carnival, with contests, a Trick-or-Treat Town and rides, is planned from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Walnut Recreation Center, 3075 N. Walnut Road. The haunted house is $2 per visit, and carnival rides are $1 each. Call 455-8402.
