The Maryland Parkway Music Festival, a free event featuring music, art, poetry and exhibits, is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. Friday with a concert in the parking lot behind the Promenade building, 4440 S. Maryland Parkway, continue from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Sam Ash Music, 2747 S. "Waiting for Godot," is set to open the Insurgo Theater's new space at the Plaza, 1 S. Main St., Thursday and continue with an extended run starting Sept. 8. The theater is also set to welcome a national tour of "Four Clowns" at 3 and 11 p.m. Friday. Visit insurgotheater.org.

AUDITIONS

The College of Southern Nevada Department of Fine Arts is seeking actors for its production of "You Can't Take It With You," written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. Auditions are scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the BackStage Theatre, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave. Auditions will consist of cold readings only. A photo and resume are preferred but not required. Roles for the Nov. 4-19 performances are available for 12 men and seven women.
