RagTag Entertainment plans to present the "Big Time Variety Hour" at 8 p.m. today at Ovation at Green Valley Ranch Resort, 2300 Paseo Verde Parkway. Ovation is also set to host The Lon Bronson All-Star Band at 8 p.m. Friday. Tickets for either show are $15, and guests younger than 21 must be with an adult.

The Village at Lake Las Vegas, 30 Strada di Villaggio, plans holiday festivities Saturday with Santa on hand from 5 to 7 p.m., a figure skating show at 5 p.m., tree lighting at 5:30 p.m., a Sin City Opera performance of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas!" at 5:45 p.m. and a holiday concert at 7 p.m. The village's floating ice rink is open. Plan ahead

Henderson is slated to host the 10th annual Transwest Ford Henderson 250 on Dec. 3. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 2 on Water Street, from Basic Road to Atlantic Avenue, Henderson is slated to host the Off-Road Fan Expo. Admission is free. On Dec. 3, three races are scheduled: motorcycles, quads and UTVs at 6:30 a.m. and cars and trucks at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The event is expected to take place in Jean, 35 minutes south of Henderson.
