Through April 28, the College of Southern Nevada Planetarium on the Cheyenne campus, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave., plans to run "Secrets of the Sun" at 7:30 p.m. Fridays, "IBEX: Search for the Edge of the Solar System" at 6 p.m. Fridays and "Mystery of the Missing Seasons" at 3:30 p.m. Saturdays. Worth a Drive

Run Away with Cirque du Soleil is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd. The event includes a 5K and 1-mile walk, entertainment and activities for children. Participation fees are $40 for the run and $30 for the walk. Visit springspreserve.org.

Family to Family Connection's eighth annual Touch-A-Truck is planned from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at The Orleans Arena parking lot, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave. Children can look at, explore and sit in the driver's seat of more than 92 vehicles -- including firetrucks, police cars, construction trucks, race cars and big rigs.
