The College of Southern Nevada's planetarium is planning to show "Season of Light" at 6 and 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 22. The show looks at the astronomical origins of many holiday traditions and images and runs approximately 35 minutes. "2012 Mayan Prophecies" is scheduled to show at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 22. Both shows are set to be accompanied by a presentation on seasonal star gazing.
