The SoBe Ice Arena at the Fiesta Rancho plans to extend its hours for public skating through Sunday. Admission is $7 per person, and skate rental is $3. Admission for children younger than 3 is free. The rink, 2400 N. Rancho Drive, is to be open from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. and 8 to 11 p.m. through Friday; 1 to 6 p.m. and 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Volume I plans to host Noche Caliente Latina featuring a variety of music from pop, salsa and rancheras to disco and funk at 9 p.m. Saturdays at Aliante Casino + Hotel's Access Showroom, 7300 Aliante Parkway. Broadacres Marketplace and Event Center, 2930 Las Vegas Blvd. North, has added lighting so the venue can remain open for Friday night shopping and events. In addition to the marketplace's more than 1,150 vendor spaces and buildings, it also offers a wide variety of entertainment, food and beverages. Worth a drive: First Friday

The Left of Center Art Gallery & Studio, in collaboration with the Social Justice Council of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas, plans to host a free reception for the "Looking the Other Way" exhibit from noon to 3 p.m. Jan. 12 at 2207 W.
