The final movie of the season in the city of North Las Vegas Movie Madness free movie in the park nights is "Happy Feet 2," scheduled to begin at dusk Friday at North Las Vegas City Hall Civic Plaza, 2250 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Worth a Drive

The city of Las Vegas and the Original German American Social Club of Nevada plan to host an Oktoberfest featuring German music, dance, food, beer and children's activities from 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth St. Admission is free. Featured performers are set to include yodeler Kerry Christensen, folk dancers the Las Vegas Bavarians and the band Salzburger Echo. Kids can spend some time hanging out in the trees at the touring "Tree House: Look Who's Living in the Trees" exhibit scheduled to be on display through Jan. 14 on the second floor of the Lied Discovery Children's Museum, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North. The exhibit includes a tree house kids can explore, 3-D images of animals living in trees, an animal dance floor where kids can try to identify animal sounds and a computer forest game where children can harvest trees without harming wildlife. The museum also plans to showcase the exhibit "Torn From Home: My Life as a Refugee" through Dec. 16. The 18th annual Summerlin Art Festival, a free event, is planned for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 13 and 14 at Summerlin Centre Community Park, 1800 S. Town Center Drive. Nearly 100 artists and craftspeople will display their works. Collections are to include paintings, glasswork, pottery, jewelry, metal works, sculpture and mixed media.
