-- Opportunity Village's Magical Forest is set to run from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and
5:30 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Sunday at 6300 W. Oakey Blvd. In addition to the holiday display, attendees can expect photos with Santa, nightly entertainment, a carousel, train rides, a gingerbread house display, mini-golf and more. Admission is $9 for children, $11 for adults and free for children 3 or younger. Passports, which include entry and attraction rides, are $15.50 for children 3 to 12 and $17.50 for those 13 or older. -- The 2013 Zelzah Shrine Circus is set for Jan. 10-13 at The Orleans Arena, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave. The theme for the fundraising event is Broadway, with more than 15 countries performing a variety of acts, including clowns, dogs, motorcycles, tiger shows and acrobatic acts. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Jan. 10, 8 p.m. Jan. 11, 11 a.m., 3:30 and 8 p.m. Jan. 12 and 1:30 and 6 p.m. Jan. 13. Attendees can also enter all three rings of the circus for the pre-party one hour before show times to meet performers and ride the elephants. Charleston Blvd., has announced it will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every first Friday of the month as an alternative stop during the First Friday monthly event downtown.
