A Senior Dance Party, hosted by KJUL-FM and KOOL-FM, is planned for 4:30 to 8 p.m. June 26 inside Veil Pavilion at the Silverton, 3333 Blue Diamond Road. The event is for those 21 or older. The official opening of the Nathaniel Jones Park is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at Mountain's Edge, 9275 S. Buffalo Drive. PS Productions is set to present "Crazy for You" as part of Super Summer Theatre's season lineup at 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays through June 30 at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park on state Route 159 about 10 miles west of the Las Vegas Beltway. The Summerlin Council invites all to the 18th annual Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade, slated from 9 to 11 a.m. July 4. The escort division is set to commence at 8:30 a.m. The public is encouraged to be in place by 8 a.m. The parade is set to begin at the corner of Hillpointe Road and Hills Center Drive in The Trails village of Summerlin. Participants will travel south on Hills Center Drive toward the Village Center Circle roundabout before heading west on Trailwood Drive. The parade will end at the corner of Trailwood Drive and Spring Gate Lane. View more than 60 entries, including traditional floats, Macy's-style helium balloons, performing bands and groups, and a variety of kids' favorite storybook and cartoon characters. The North Las Vegas Independence Day Jubilee is scheduled from 6 to 9:30 p.m. July 3 at James Seastrand Park, 6330 Camino Eldorado. Gates are to open at 5 p.m. Admission is $4 per person.
