A free Tivoli Movie Night is planned for Saturday. The 18th annual Summerlin Art Festival, a free event, is planned for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 13 and 14 at Summerlin Centre Community Park, 1800 S. Town Center Drive. Nearly 100 artists and craftspeople will display their works. Collections are to include paintings, glasswork, pottery, jewelry, metal works, sculpture and mixed media. Chalk art using the park sidewalks as a canvas also will be part of the event. Noncompeting artists can participate for $5, which includes sidewalk space, a knee pad and chalk. Celebrate First Friday's 10th anniversary in the downtown 18b Arts District with two days of activities, set to begin with pumpkin decorating and attempts at breaking 10 pumpkin-related world records 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Kids Zone, 1213 S. Casino Center Blvd. While supplies last, receive a free pumpkin to decorate on site and take home. Kids can spend some time hanging out in the trees at the touring "Tree House: Look Who's Living in the Trees" exhibit scheduled for display through Jan. 14 on the second floor of the Lied Discovery Children's Museum, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North. The exhibit includes a tree house kids can explore, 3-D images of animals living in trees, an animal dance floor where kids can try to identify animal sounds and a computer forest game in which children can harvest trees without harming wildlife. The museum also plans to showcase the exhibit "Torn From Home: My Life as a Refugee" through Dec. 16.
