Worth a Drive

n The Wings and Wheels Car Show is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at West Air Aviation at the North Las Vegas Airport. The event is to include airplane and car displays and $29 scenic flights. Food, drinks and music from DJ 88 will be provided for an admission fee of $100, which benefits the Shade Tree's Noah's Animal House, a refuge for pets of victims of domestic violence. Attendees also will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction and sponsor pets. n The city of Henderson plans to offer Haunted at the Ranch from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28 at Whitney Ranch Indoor Pool, 1575 C Galleria Drive. The event, which is open to all ages, is set to include swimming, games, bounce houses and a haunted house tour. Carnival of Horrors, on the east side of The District, features a traveling carnival theme with zombie sideshow characters who plan to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.
