Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is scheduled to begin Friday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. North. The long-running holiday display includes a 2½-mile course featuring millions of LED lights in hundreds of displays. The event is open from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 5:30 to 10 p.m. Fridays through Sundays through Jan. 6. The Mystic Falls Winter Wonderland tree lighting is scheduled at 5 p.m. Nov. 21 at Sam's Town, 5111 Boulder Highway. Boyd Gaming Executive Chairman Bill Boyd is to be joined by his grandson Staff Sgt. Sam Boyd and Sam's Town Vice President and General Manager John Sou to flip the switch on the first run of the holiday show. Cowboy Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with the Chaparral High School choir, are set to join this year's festivities.
