Toll Brothers’ models put focus on children’s rooms

Kitchens, home theaters and exercise rooms all make an impression on adults who tour model homes, but what about their kids?

Imaginative bedrooms, bonus rooms and study areas in model homes throughout the Las Vegas Valley help children envision their daily lifestyles in a new house.

"Just as we design model homes for buyers, kids' bedrooms are designed for children," said Linda Hanford, marketing director for Toll Brothers. "Touring a model home becomes fun and exciting for youngsters."

Boys and girls will be captivated by the kids' rooms in Toll Brothers' models at Inspirada in Henderson, Hanford said.

A boy who is an extreme-sports enthusiast will enjoy exploring the Casa Citta townhomes, which include a skateboard-themed bedroom, she said.

In the Valentia single-family home at Inspirada, girls step upstairs into a 150-square-foot pink and white wonderland that's ready for a tea party, Hanford said.

Beyond the bedrooms, bonus rooms and play areas also show the potential for a child's lifestyle.

The Bellini model at Mirasol at Mountain's Edge in southwest Las Vegas has a decorated play room with stuffed animals, faux kitchen appliances and a crafts table.

For children who will share a bedroom with siblings, Toll Brothers' bedrooms are designed for extra space and privacy.

Children can partner on a design theme, or find common ground while still showing their individual personalities.

The spaces also are designed to grow along with a child, Hanford said. Walk-in closets and Jack-and-Jill bathrooms provide private spaces that will be even more desirable when children become teenagers, Hanford said.

Open spaces allow the freedom to design rooms as the years go on, whether the transition is from bunk beds to separate beds or from doll houses to music collections.

"These spaces for personalization are just as important for kids' rooms as they are for family rooms or owners' suites," Hanford said. "These are the places that make a house a home."

Toll Brothers communities are located throughout the Las Vegas Valley, including Fairway Hills in The Ridges and Traccia in Summerlin; Franklin Park and Madison Grove at Providence, and Hidden Canyon Estates in northwestern Las Vegas; Vita Bella, MacDonald Highlands and Inspirada in Henderson; and Mirasol at Mountain's Edge in southwest Las Vegas.
