Trudi’s romance quickie: ‘My Man Michael’

In Lori Foster’s “My Man Michael,” Supreme Battle Challenge fighting champion Michael “Mallet” Manchester is seriously injured in a car accident. His right leg is severely damaged and the doctors tell him he will need extensive therapy just to walk again, much less fight. Although the head of SBC thinks Michael would be awesome as a trainer, Michael feels like his life is over.
Then Kaylie Raine pops in, literally. Kaylie is from the future and needs Michael’s help to save her colony. She offers Michael immediate healing of his leg if he’ll come to her world and help her fight her present enemy who is demanding a monthly female human sacrifice. Michael agrees, thinking it is just the painkillers making him hallucinate. But for all of Kaylie’s crazy talk, Michael is still very much attracted to her. He learns that in her time, she is considered unusual — though to Michael she’s an athletic, sexy woman.
After being miraculously transported to Kaylie’s time, Michael finds himself completely healed as promised. What he doesn’t expect to find is that all the men of Kaylie’s colony are dominated by the women. It’s like an upside-down world where the male and female roles are reversed.
Michael does get a chance to fight again in this book that’s filled with secrets, love, suspense and lots of action.
It will keep readers on the edges of their seats.
